We envision communities of market umbrellas, like flowers in the field, opening all over the world for the public good. Established in 1995, today we continue to utilize the Crescent City Farmers Market as an outdoor laboratory for entrepreneurial innovation, social engineering and leadership development. With a modest endowment, healthy balance of foundation grants and earned income, marketumbrella.org is seeking to grow a new world within the shell of the old.
